ASHLEY HARTMEIER-PRIGG ANNOUCES "BELIEVE IN BEAVERTON"

Ashley Hartmeier-Prigg announced her campaign’s new slogan, Believe in Beaverton, with the following statement:

“I'm Ashley Hartmeier-Prigg, and I'm running for city council because I Believe in Beaverton. I believe we can be a city that takes the lead in reducing our impact on climate change. I believe we can be a city that approaches the homeless crisis with humanity and compassion. I believe that we can be a city that not only acknowledges, but supports our small businesses and one another as we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic and all of the systemic issues it has highlighted. However, I know that just believing will not be enough to create positive change for Beaverton residents, it will take work.“

“And I believe I am the best person to do this work. My experience leading our state's largest special district, Tualatin Hills Park and Recreation District, during this period of uncertainty and my wide support from regional leaders, makes me uniquely qualified for this position. During my time on THPRD, I created affordable housing policy that was built with community input and equity in mind and built relationships with area leaders by advocating for our residents and I will continue to do the same on the city council. If you believe in Beaverton, come do this work with me. I ask for your vote, and I ask for your support as we sprint to September.”
